We're building seven research teams. We can't do it alone.
From manufacturing engineering to AI infrastructure, robotics, packaging, product design, web/social, and policy — we're recruiting universities and student research teams to help build this mission alongside us.

Active partnership
San José State University · Food Science Lab
A SJSU professor and student research team are already partnering with us on shelf-stable, healthier, allergen-free formulations and next-generation product concepts. This is the model we want to replicate at six more universities.
University Partnership InquiriesEngineering & Facility Design
Lead university partner to design our allergen-free, AI-driven manufacturing facility from the ground up — process engineering, mechanical systems, clean architecture.
Seeking
Mechanical / chemical / industrial engineering programs
Robotics
Ongoing robotics partnership to prototype new automation concepts as we scale — pick-and-place, sanitation, inspection arms.
Seeking
Top robotics labs (CMU, MIT, Georgia Tech, Stanford-tier)
AI Infrastructure
Computer vision for contamination detection, predictive quality, traceability, and supply chain optimization across the entire factory.
Seeking
AI/ML and applied data science programs
Packaging & Shipping Systems
Sustainable, allergen-safe packaging design plus cold-chain and logistics planning for schools, hospitals, and DTC.
Seeking
Packaging engineering and supply-chain programs

Student-led team keeping the brand on track — content, community, brand storytelling, and continuous web product development.
Seeking
Communications, marketing, and CS / web programs
Government, Policy & Grants
Team focused on getting safe meals into public schools nationwide, securing federal grants, and advancing FDA labeling reform.
Seeking
Public policy, public health, and political science programs
Brain. Gut. Allergies. Autism. Sensory. School access.
These crises are converging — and food is the common denominator. Lucian's Food handles access and advocacy. Sentinel Biosystems builds the manufacturing platform that makes safe food possible at scale. You can't have one without the other.
Brain & Gut Health
The gut-brain axis is foundational. Allergen-free, nutrient-dense food supports cognition, mood, and developmental health from day one.
Autism & Sensory Sensitivity
Sensory and dietary needs are rising. Predictable, safe textures and ingredients matter — and they're nearly impossible to find at scale.
Severe Food Allergies
Cross-contamination is the silent risk. Top-15 allergen-free manufacturing eliminates the daily calculation families currently make alone.
School Access & Affordability
Districts can't always afford safe food. Lucian's Food (nonprofit) closes that gap so no child eats less because they're allergic.

Bars
Medical-grade nutrition bars engineered to be top-15 allergen-free.

Cookies & Formulas
From the Hempty Dempty cookie to clinical formulas and supplement-replacement nutrition — all made in America, free of cross-contamination.

The Facility
Sentinel Biosystems' clean manufacturing vision: real robotic systems, stainless equipment, conveyors, packaging lines, and controlled production flow.
Make top-15 allergen labeling mandatory on every consumer good.
Today, only the top 9 allergens are required to be disclosed in the U.S. — and "may contain" disclosures are voluntary, inconsistent, and confusing. We're petitioning the FDA to require clear, mandatory disclosure of the top 15 allergens (and shared-facility statements) on every consumer good.
- Mandatory top-15 allergen disclosure on every label.
- Mandatory shared-facility / cross-contamination statements.
- Standardized language so families don't have to decode 'may contain' fine print.
Let families, teachers, and supporters tell the story with us
Supporters can share their name, photo, allergies, and real-life impact. Every submission stays pending until we approve it for the website.
Share how this would help you, your child, or your family
This short questionnaire becomes evidence in our SBIR grant application. Your responses (anonymized) help prove the real-world demand for safer, allergen-free food.
