Privacy Policy

We collect information you give us directly and a small amount needed to keep the service running:

• Account info: name, username, email, phone (optional), password, profile photo.
• Content you create: posts, comments, photos, videos, recipes, reviews, lists, messages.
• Connections: who you follow, save, message, or book.
• Location (only with your permission): coarse city/region for nearby content, or precise location if you opt in to features that need it.
• Device & usage data: device type, browser, app version, IP address, basic analytics.
• Payment info: handled by Stripe — we don't store full card numbers.

Sentinel is intended for users 13 and older. Accounts for children under 13 are not permitted. Parents may choose to share information about their own children (e.g., allergies, safety profiles) — that information belongs to the parent's account and can be deleted at any time. We comply with COPPA and never knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

• Operate, secure, and improve the network.
• Show you relevant content, people, places, and events.
• Send service messages, notifications you've opted into, and (optionally) a newsletter.
• Process bookings, payments, and subscriptions.
• Detect abuse, fraud, and policy violations.

We do not sell your personal information.

We share only what's needed:

• With other users — anything you publish publicly (posts, profile, reviews) is visible to them.
• With service providers (hosting, email, payments, analytics) under contract.
• To comply with the law, court orders, or to protect rights and safety.
• In a corporate transaction (merger, acquisition) — your data goes with the service, never as a separate sale.

• Edit or delete your profile and content from settings at any time.
• Control notifications, location sharing, and visibility.
• Request access, correction, or deletion of your data by emailing privacy@sentinelbiosystems.com.
• California, EU, and UK residents have additional rights (CCPA, GDPR) — we honor them.
• Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any newsletter.

We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, audited infrastructure). No system is perfectly secure. We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service; after deletion we retain limited records as required by law.

We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in, preferences, and aggregate analytics. You can control cookies in your browser. We don't use third-party advertising trackers.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
